Hi Tom – I’ve been receiving your Weekly Best Bets for years – it’s a great resource, thank you for putting it together each week!
When I read it though, I always find it quite hard to actually absorb the ‘data’, as it’s formatted as sentences & paragraphs, which makes it hard to look for a specific club or musician. I think if it were formatted in more of an ‘excel’ grid, it would be much easier for jazz fans to find their favorite musician, club, artist, city, or even see a name they’d forgotten about..
I’ve reformatted the Monday & Tuesday events this week from your newsletter below. I think this would also be easier for you to assemble, as you don’t have to worry about converting the data into sentences…
I’m curious what you think?

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner – thanks for taking the time to propose an alternate format. There are a variety of reasons About & Out/LAjazzpicks.com and LAjazz.com are done the way they are, and until and unless the site is able to afford major changes in the way it’s put together via increased advertising and/or grants, it’s unlikely major changes will be made. Thanks again for your feedback, and I’m glad you dind the site useful.
