Tuesday 11/29 – Babaganoush at the LACM Garage

Babaganoush reunites for a show at the Los Angeles College of Music Garage in Pasadena, featuring Andy Suzuki on reeds, Dimitris Jimmy Mahlis on guitar, Jerry Watts on bass, and Ralph Humphrey on drums. Vocalist Andrea Miller is at Vibrato in Bel Air, backed by bassist Pat Senatore, Mark Lebrun on piano, and Paul Kreibich on drums.  Guitarist Andy Waddell leads a quintet at the Envy Lounge in Newport Beach.  Trumpeter Greg Adams & East Bay Soul are at Bogie’s in Westlake Village. Bassist Ron Carter begins a four-night (Wed-Sat) run at Catalina in Hollywood with guitarist Russell Malone and pianist Donald Vega. Drummer Matt Gordy’s groups offer an evening dedicated to Igor Stravinsky at Blue Whale in Little Tokyo including a rare appearance by flutist Sara Andon. Pianist Ron Kobayashi is at The Public House in Fullerton. Pianist Yuko Mabuchi is at redwhite+bluezz in Pasadena. Pianist Karen Hernandez and vocalist Jimmy Spencer are at Colombo’s in Eagle Rock. Percussionist Ronnie Gutierrez hosts a Wednesday night jam session at Monty’s in Woodland Hills.
