The music of Randy Newman is celebrated with an evening of music including Kathleen Grace, Tierney Sutton, Joey Dosik, Artyom Manukyan, Josh Nelson, Matt Mayhall, Henry Wolfe, Omar Velasco, Leslie Stevens, Jamie Drake, Sara Leib and more at Blue Whale in Little Tokyo. Vocalist Brenna Whitaker is at Vibrato in Bel Air. The Dave Slonaker Big Band is at Typhoon in Santa Monica. Drummer Chris Wabich is at Cana Rum Bar in downtown L.A..  Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra is at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Feliz.  Pianist Cougar Estrada is at Jax in Glendale. The four-day (Thu-Sun) Newport Beach Jazz party kicks off with an evening of multiple performances including the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band at the Newport Beach Hotel & Spa.
