Tuesday 6/16 – Patrice Quinn Group at Blue Whale

Vocalist Patrice Quinn is at Blue Whale in Little Tokyo with Kamasi Washington on sax, Ryan Porter on trombone, Brandon Coleman on keys, Dale Black on bass, and Ronald Bruner, Jr. and Tony Austin on drums. Vocalist Freda Payne is at Vibrato for the first of two nights (Tue-Wed). Hiroshima is at the Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage.  Danish vocalist Sinne Eeg performs at a G Spot house concert in Highland Park.  Trumpeter Brian Swartz is at Perch. Wednesday 6/17 – Tricia Tahara at Catalina

Vocalist Tricia Tahara is at Catalina in Hollywood with Patrice Rushen on keys, Alphonso Johnson on bass, Ndugu Chancler on drums, John Chiodini on guitar, Bill Churchville on trumpet, and Scott Mayo on woodwinds. “Conan” saxophonist Jerry Vivino’s quartet is at The Baked Potato with special guest guitarist Grant Geissman. Jaga Jazzist and Taylor McFerrin split a bill at the Teregram Ballroom in Los Angeles. Drummer Jaz Sawyer is at Blue Whale. Dave Damiani and the No Vacancy Orchestra are at The Ranch in Laguna Beach. Thursday 6/18 – Eliane Elias at The Moss Theater at New Roads School

The Jazz Bakery’s Movable Feast series presents Brazilian pianist/vocalist Eliane Elias at The Moss Theater at New Roads School in Santa Monica with Marc Johnson on bass, Rubens de la Corte on guitar, and Rafael Barata on drums and percussion.
